A St. Petersburg entrepreneur traced the history of his family back to the 13th generation and learned that his ancestors lived in a Mordovian village: now he will build a church theretranslated

An entrepreneur, writer and philanthropist from St. Petersburg, Dmitry Borisov, launched a project to build a church in the village of Napolnaya Tavla in the Republic of Mordovia, where his ancestors once lived.

Having traced his ancestry to the 13th generation, member of the Union of Orthodox Entrepreneurs Dmitry Borisov discovered that before moving to Altai, his great-grandfathers lived and worked in the village of Napolnaya Tavla. This find became the reason for the revival of spiritual and cultural ties between generations, the entrepreneur’s PR service told Foma magazine.

During a trip to the village to collect information for a new book, Dmitry Borisov met with local residents. For her part, the village leader turned to him with a request to create an Orthodox spiritual center.

Dmitry Borisov perceived this request as a new challenge and got involved in the work. A project for the future church was created, the place for its construction was chosen and its dedication was thought out.
