It's interesting how Father Nikolay didn't even save his salary to support those who lost their jobs because of their faith. It was really like in the first centuries, when everything was shared. Thanks for reminding me of that side of the mission.

Yes, I was particularly touched by the matter of the dismissed civil servants and their families. The fact that father Nikolai gave away almost his entire salary and was still constantly short of money shows how seriously they took sharing. In our choir we recently talked about similar old reports - it really sounds like the first churches.
