First Liturgy after a hundred-year breaktranslated

On August 11, 2026, in the St. Nicholas Church in the village of Chernoezerye, the patronal feast day and the first Divine Liturgy took place after a break of more than a century.
The service was led by the dean of the Sargat church district, abbot of the St. Nicholas Monastery, Abbot Seraphim (Maksimov). Concelebrating with His Reverence were: the rector of the Mother of God Church of the Intercession in the village of Verblyuzhye, priest Vladimir Voevodin, the clergyman of the Assumption Church, r.p. Bolsherechye Hieromonk Tikhon (Kutmin), as well as the rector of the Trinity Church in the village of Starokarasuk, priest Vladislav Solomennikov.
Village residents, pilgrims from the Sargat and Bolsherechensky districts, as well as guests from Moscow gathered for the festive service.
At the end of the Liturgy, Father Seraphim addressed those gathered with a sermon, in which he recalled the history of the Chernoezersk Nicholas Church, emphasizing the importance of restoring spiritual life in this ancient land.
