To glorify the Lord with singing: the choirs of the Simbirsk Metropolis sang at the cathedral Bishop’s servicetranslated

On August 16, on the 11th week after Pentecost, the day of remembrance of the Venerable Isaac, Dalmatus and Faust, the Venerable Anthony of Rome, the Wonderworker of Novgorod, a conciliar service of the bishops of the Simbirsk Metropolis took place. The Divine Liturgy at the Spaso-Voznesensky Cathedral of Ulyanovsk was performed by Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, Bishop of Melekessky and Cherdaklinsky Diodorus and Bishop of Baryshsky and Inzensky Alexander.
The archpastors were concelebrated by the secretary of the Simbirsk diocesan administration, Priest Roman Solodko, the secretary of the Melekess diocese, Hieromonk Proclus (Boiko), the secretary of the Bishops' Council, Archpriest Ilya Kuznetsov, Archpriest Andrei Filkin, Priest Vladimir Manyakov, Priest Evgeniy Trofimov, and the custodian of the Ascension Cathedral, Hieromonk Hilarion (Khrol), priest Andrei Chizhov, deacon John Kosyakov, deacon Alexander Shevchenko.
The liturgical chants of the Liturgy were performed by six choirs of the churches of the Simbirsk Metropolis: the choir of the Resurrection-Germanovsky Church in Ulyanovsk under the direction of regent Elena Korobkova, the choir of the church in the name of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called in Ulyanovsk under the direction of regent Elena Mamonova, the choir of the church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of Dimitrovgrad...
