Today our church commemorates Saint Paraskevi, who is considered the patroness of the eyes and many believers pray to her for the health and healing of the eyes. Throughout Greece there are many temples and pilgrimages dedicated to her grace. The Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne Fr. Ioannis Savvakis, talks to Dimitris Stroumbakos about the history of I.N. Agia Paraskevi, Nea Penteli. The surrounding church is inspired by a rare Byzantine-style architecture and dedicated to Agia Paraskevi the Great Martyr and Osia Paraskevi the Traveler. It celebrates on July 26 and October 14.
