Teachers of the Gomel region were congratulated on Teacher's Daytranslated

The ceremonial event dedicated to Teacher's Day took place on October 1, 2026 in the Gomel District House of Culture. It was attended by teachers, veterans of teaching work and young professionals, representatives of government, public organizations and the clergy.

The Gomel diocese was represented by the dean of the churches of the Gomel district, Archpriest Artemy Krivitsky. Among the guests of honor were Deputy Chairman of the Gomel District Executive Committee Valeria Shatilo, Chairman of the regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers Alexandra Grabchenkova and Head of the Education Department of the District Executive Committee Ekaterina Plyago.

Before the ceremonial part, educational institutions presented their projects and developments. The exhibition included materials on military-patriotic education, results of innovative and experimental activities, examples of arts and crafts, local history exhibitions and projects created by teachers together with students.

The teachers were presented with certificates of honor and gratitude for their many years of work, contribution to the education and upbringing of children, professionalism, participation in the life of educational institutions and the implementation of significant projects.
