From September 9 to 14, on the eve of the bringing of the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky to Moscow, the “Patriarchal Volunteers” are preparing filahto, which will be distributed to pilgrims. Everyone is invited to participate in the preparation.

I remember my late husband bringing back a small филахто from Corfu years ago — it still sits in our icon corner. Nice to hear the volunteers are making fresh ones for Moscow pilgrims. Count me in if they need extra hands knitting or packing next week.
