The Patriarch of Romania celebrates his birthday during a working meetingtranslated

We remind you that the official (institutional) celebration of the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel is the anniversary of his enthronement as Patriarch, on September 30, and the anniversary of his birthday, July 22, and the anniversary of the naming of the Holy Prophet Daniel (December 17) and the Reverend Saint Daniel Sihastru (December 18) are personal holidays.

This year (2026), His Beatitude celebrates his birthday, July 22, during a working meeting with the members of the Permanent Council of the National Church and of the Permanent Diocesan Council of the Archdiocese of Bucharest (who are not on vacation), at the Missionary Cultural Center "Familia", in the city of Pantelimon, with the theme: The current stage of preparations "Before International Conference of Orthodox Youth, from August 31 to September 3, 2026.
