The church that serves the Romanian community in Istanbul will celebrate its patron saint on Sunday, July 26, 2026, on the day of commemoration of St. Mc. Paraskevi.

Father Sergiu Vlad, parish priest of the Romanian community in Turkey, announced that the Holy Liturgy will be presided over by His Holiness Bartholomew I, the Ecumenical Patriarch. At 09:00 the Matins will begin, which will continue with the Holy Liturgy.

The Holy Martyr Paraschevi Romana (July 26) is also a healer. He cured one of his torturers of his blindness and converted him to Christianity.

The "Sf. Mc. Paraschevi Romana" church in Istanbul was given to the Romanian community in Turkey for use starting in 2004, with the blessing of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I.
