His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel sent a message of condolences on Friday at the funeral of Mr. Constantin Popa, father of Archdeacon Gheorghe-Cristian Popa, patriarchal adviser and Director of Trinitas TV.

His Beatitude described Mr. Constantin Popa as "a faithful layman of the Orthodox Church, a loving husband and father, a good and gentle man, who, by his way of being, by his work and by the love given to his family and those around him, leaves behind a bright memory".

"However, beyond the stringing of the dates of a biography, the true measure of a man's life is revealed in the love he gave, in the good he did, in the sacrifice he knew how to carry in silence for those close to him and in the memory he leaves in their souls", emphasized the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel.

The funeral service was held in the "Izvorul Tămăduirii" Church in the village of Prăjești, Măgirești commune, Bacău county.
