His Holiness Patriarch Kirill expressed condolences in connection with the deaths of people during a fire at a pyrotechnics production plant in the village of Kubrinsk, Yaroslavl region.
“With sadness I learned about the tragic incident at the pyrotechnics plant in the village of Kubrinsk, which resulted in the death of people. I ask you to convey to everyone affected by this terrible misfortune my deep condolences and words of consolation,” the Primate said in his condolences to the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Evraev.
Patriarch Kirill expressed the hope that the regional authorities “will not leave the families of the dead and injured without due attention, providing them with the necessary assistance.”
“The clergy of the Pereslavl diocese will pastorally support the mourners,” added His Holiness.
In turn, in his condolences to Bishop Theoktist of Pereslavl and Uglich, the Primate of the Church expressed confidence that “the clergy of the Pereslavl diocese will provide pastoral assistance to those affected by this tragedy, will show sympathy and participation, and will find words of consolation and support.”
His Holiness the Patriarch prays for the repose of the souls of the dead and for the speedy recovery of the wounded.
