Patriarchal Exarchate in Finland for the anniversary celebrations of the Church of St. Alexandra in Turku

The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was represented by a three-member Patriarchal Exarchate, consisting of Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, and Grand Syncellus Hieronymos, at the anniversary celebrations organized by the Autonomous Church of Finland to mark 180 years since the construction of the Holy Church of Saint Alexandra in Turku.
During their stay there, from 26 to 29 September, the Patriarchal Exarchate met and engaged in fruitful cooperation with Archbishop Elia of Helsinki and All Finland and the members of the Synod of Bishops.
In addition, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was represented by the Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon at the anniversary event “In One Spirit,” organized by the Holy Monastery of Xenophontos on Mount Athos on Monday, 21 September, in Athens, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the present monastic brotherhood on Athos and the enthronement of Archimandrite Alexios as Abbot.
