Easter joy in the village of Kuprovo: a altar prayer was held in the ruined Church of the Resurrectiontranslated

On September 26, on the day of remembrance of the Renewal of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Jerusalem (a holiday popularly called “The Resurrection”), a solemn service was held in the ancient village of Kuprovo.

Despite the fact that the local Church of the Resurrection is currently in ruins, its walls are once again filled with cathedral prayer. The rector of the church, Archpriest Anthony Nazarenko, co-served by the rector of the Archangel Michael Church in the city of Mozhaisk, priest Sergius Andriyanov, performed a prayer service in the Easter rite - traditional for this patronal holiday.

Local residents gathered for the festive service. In the open air, among the ancient vaults, joyful cries of “Christ is Risen!” were heard, recalling eternal life and hope for the revival of the shrine.

At the end of the prayer service, Father Anthony addressed the congregation with words of greeting. He congratulated those gathered on the throne day, noting the importance of preserving spiritual memory and prayerful unity even in difficult times for the church.
