Pleașa Parish in Prahova County organized a conference on the challenges of depression and anxiety in the life of the Christian family, informs Trinitas TV.
The meeting was preceded by the celebration of the Sacrament of the Holy Olive. The lecture was given by father Ciprian Florin Petre, minister at the Church of the "Alexandru Obregia" Clinical Hospital for Psychiatry in Bucharest.
Starting from pastoral experience and academic concerns regarding the relationship between theology, psychology and psychiatry, the guest addressed depression and anxiety from the perspective of the need for a responsible understanding of mental suffering.
Faith and medicine in support of people An important emphasis of the meeting was placed on the fact that the person in pain needs the support of the community and the family, but also specialized help when the situation requires it.
