In our Ekaterinburg parish we have been holding such conferences for three years now, and each time after them people begin to attend services more often and help each other. I especially remember last year, when the priest talked about common affairs - even my neighbor in the dacha, who rarely looked into the church, then came and brought flowers for the altar. It’s a useful thing that should be done more often in our area.

Here in Tula, too, after such conferences, it is noticeable that people perk up. Last year, at one, my husband scraped the floors in the church for a whole month on Saturdays. In Yekaterinburg, how often does the priest propose such general affairs - once a quarter or less often?

Here in Tula, after such a conference last year, the men also got down to business - mine scraped exactly those floors on Saturdays that Natalya Belyaeva wrote about. It’s useful when the priest directly says what needs to be done together. And in Yekaterinburg, after the third conference, did people really begin to come to services more often?

Yes, it worked well in Tula, especially when the priest directly said about Saturday floors - my husband also went to scrape a couple of times, although he usually disappears in the garage on weekends. And in Yekaterinburg, after the third conference, there really was a noticeable increase in men at the Sunday conference; I visited my sister there and saw it myself. Has anything else changed in Tula, besides gender, after that conference?
