The Palace of the Princes of Transylvania has been nominated for one of the most important museum awards in Europetranslated

The Palace of the Princes of Transylvania in Alba Iulia was nominated for the European Museum Academy awards, one of the most important museum awards in Europe.

The nomination was announced by the representatives of the cultural institution, who stated that the museum is competing for the Luigi Micheletti Award - Outstanding Storytelling ("History-Telling").

"It is a benchmark award at the continental level, which rewards the most innovative and engaging ways of bringing history to life," the museum representatives said.

Small group of award-winning museums The cultural institution joins a small group of Romanian museums recognized by the European Museum Academy, the ASTRA Sibiu National Museum Complex being the only cultural institution to win this award in 2019.

The representatives of the museum in Alba Iulia emphasized that "the nomination is the result of a rigorous on-site evaluation by two international experts, coming from Greece and Germany. They analyzed in detail the way in which we manage to transform the turbulent past of Transylvania into a living, interactive and deeply moving experience for today's public".…

Bravo, e o veste buena pentru Alba Iulia. Mă bukur că au venit expertii din Grecia și Germania și au văhut cum se face istoria Transilvaniei vie, nu doar praf pe rafturi. Să vedem if iau premiul, după ASTRA ar fi al doilea românesc muzeu.

Mă bucur pentru Alba Iulia, nominalizarea asta arată că au serious profits cu vestea Transilvaniei. Mi-a plăcut cum au spus că experții din Greece și Germania au văzut-o „vie și interactivă”, nu praf pe rafturi, exact cum zice și Vangjel. Super să ia premium, ar fi al doilea după ASTRA.

Yes, e o veste bună pentru Alba Iulia. Mă bucur că experții din Grecia și Germania au văzut cum au făcut din trecutul zbuciumat al Transilvaniei o poveste vie, nu praf pe rafturi, cum zice și Vangjel. Să vedem dacă iau premiul, ar fi al doilea după ASTRA.

I am happy for Alba Iulia, this nomination is deserved. I remembered how they said that the experts from Greece and Germany saw the turbulent past of Transylvania turned into a living experience, not dust on the shelves. I hope it gets the award, it would be second after ASTRA.
