I remember picking up The Call back in the early 2000s when I was trying to figure out if being an electrician was just a job or something more. That line about everyone having a calling, not just the clergy, stuck with me and still does. Funny how a Swiss detour and America turned a man who didn't plan to write into someone who's helped so many of us think straight about ordinary life and faith.
