In Evangelistria, Nea Ionia, the Holy Relic of Saint Fotini from the Holy Monastery of Iberontranslated

With particular splendor, the Holy Church of Evangelistria of Nea Ionia Volos welcomed the Holy Relic of Saint Glorious Great Martyr and Isapostolo Fotini of the Samaritans, which was transferred from the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropigian Monastery of Iberon of Mount Athos, in the context of the anniversary events for the completion of 100 years of life and contribution of the Parish. The Holy Relic was received by the head of the Holy Clergy and the faithful, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Dimitrias and Almyros, Mr. Ignatios, in the presence of a large number of Priests of our local Church, the Deputy Regional Governor of Magnesia and Northern Sporades, Mr. Anna Maria Papadimitriou, the Commander of the 32nd Marine Brigade, Brigadier Nikolaos Koutelis, representatives of the local authorities and crowds of pilgrims.

The Holy Relic was buried by the Professor of the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropigian Monastery of Ibera on Mount Athos, Archimandrite Geron Nathanael, accompanied by Elder Christophoros and Father Alexios. Immediately after the official reception, a Solemn Vespers was held.
