Pilgrimage to the parishes of Chalkidos in Constantinopletranslated
With the blessing of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Halkidos Mr. Chrysostomos, the Parishes of Agios Dimitrios, Agios Ioannis and Euboean Saints of Chalkidos, made a 6-day trip to Constantinople, from June 24 to 29, 2026, which was accompanied by the heads of the Parishes Archimandrite Emilianos Christou and Damaskinos Papakonstantinou and Economos Anastasios Christou. The excursionists had the opportunity to visit and be guided to the emblematic Holy Church of God Sophia, the Holy Monastery of Blacherna, the Holy Monastery of Valouklis, the Holy Monastery of Chora, with the famous mosaics. They also visited Prykiponnisa, Halki and Prince and the Theological School of Halki, which is housed in the Holy Monastery of Agia Triado.
On Sunday, the last day of the excursion, the group of Halkidean pilgrims went to church at the Pansept Patriarchal Church of Saint George in Fanari, met with His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew, receiving his Patriarchal blessing and offering him gifts of respect and love.
