HOLY PROVINCIAL SYNOD

OF THE CHURCH OF CRETE

ANNOUNCED

The Delegation of the Church of Crete consisting of Rev. Archbishop of Crete Eugenios, President of the Holy Provincial Synod of the Church of Crete, Rev. Metropolitans of Petra and Herronisos Mr. Gerasimos and Mr. Prodromos of Rethymnon and Avlopotamos, of the antimol. Mr. Stavros Arnautakis, Regional Governor of Crete, and the Hon. Mr. Georgiou Marinakis, Mayor of Rethymno and President of P.E.D. of Crete, were admitted to a hearing by the A.Th.P. of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and his associates.

During the meeting, issues related to the Church of Crete were discussed for two hours, for which it was found that there was a consensus regarding the faithful observance of the divine and Holy Rules and the Charter of the Church of Crete.

Also, the unity between the Mother Church and the Church of Crete, the sympathy and the devotion of the clergy and people of Megalonis to the Seven Person of our Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew and our Mother Church.
