Consecrations for the new school year at I.M. Aetolia and Acarnaniatranslated

With the Consecration sequence, which was held in all the schools of the Holy Metropolis of Aetolia and Acarnania, the new school year began again this year. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania, Mr. Damaskinos, performed the consecration ceremony in Agrinio, at the 4th Primary School and the 2nd General High School, in the presence of the Principals, Teachers and Professors, as well as the Mayor of Agrinio, Mr. Georgios Papanastasiou, the Member of Parliament, Mr. Miltos Zambaras, the Director of Primary Education of Etoloakarnania, Mr. Constantinos Rigas, the Deputy Regional Governor for Sustainable Development, Energy, Spatial Planning and Environment, Mr. Linos Bletsas, and the Deputy Regional Governor for Economic Policy and Fiscal Control, Mr. Nikos Katsakioris.

Then, he went to the Holy City of Messolonghi and performed the Consecration at the 1st General High School, in the presence of the Principal, the educational staff, the Member of Parliament Mr. Miltos Zambaras, the Deputy Regional Governor Mr. Thanasis Mavrommatis and other representatives of the local authorities.

His Eminence spoke heartily and fatherly to the students and teachers and wished them a good and blessed school year.

It’s good that Metropolitan Damascene himself toured schools in Agrinio and Mesolonghi. He especially noted that the mayor and deputies were there, which means that together with the Church they are trying to get the year off to a normal start. And the children will probably remember it when the bishop himself blesses.

I am glad that the Reverend Damascenes himself went to both Lyceums, especially to Messolonghi. The fact that the mayor and the deputies were there shows that everyone together cares for the children. I wish them a peaceful and happy new year.
