The Great Supplication in Mesorrachistranslated

On the afternoon of Sunday, August 9, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Larissa and Tyrnavos, Mr. Ieronymos, went to the Holy Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God in Mesorrachis, in order to celebrate Vespers and then the Holy Supplication to the Most Holy Mother of God. Mesorrachis is a village of the Thessalian plain very close to Larissa. For this reason, it is preferred by many people from Larisa, either because it is easier for them to go to church as a family and to find a comfortable parking space, or to avoid the crowding of crowded urban parishes during the major holidays. Thus, with the spiritual opportunity of the Great Prayer that was chanted, others participated along with the residents of the village.

Before His Excellency's speech, the Honorable Mr. Konstantinos Tzanakoulis, acting Secretary General of the Decentralized Administration of Thessaly and former Mayor of Larissa, who distinguished himself for his diverse contribution to the place, took the floor and addressed him, in order to welcome Mr. Ieronymos to the village and to remind the efforts of the residents to build the new majestic Holy Church of the Entry of the Virgin Mary, while preserving the ancient Church of archaeological value...
