Metropolis of Kitros: The hosting of families and children from war-torn Ukraine has been completedtranslated

The hosting of families and children from war-torn Ukraine at the Complex of Ecclesiastical Institutions of the Holy Metropolis of Kitros, Katerinis and Platamonos in Svoronos, Pieria, was completed on Sunday, August 9. The initiative was included in the context of the pastoral, social and charitable work of the Holy Metropolis of Kitros and was a practical expression of solidarity towards our fellow human beings who are tested by the consequences of war, with special care for children who have experienced difficult and traumatic experiences. It is a typical example of the way in which His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. George perceives the pastoral and charitable work of the Church: not only as a word of consolation, but as a daily, practical presence next to the person who is being tested.

For ten days, the Holy Metropolis took care of their full hospitality, providing full meals every day, as well as a safe, warm and welcoming environment, where the guests had the opportunity to rest, be entertained and enjoy moments of carefreeness away from the difficult conditions they experience in their homeland.
