The historian I.N. of Panagia Rizokasteliotissa, from the 14th century, with rich frescoes, is an ornament and a monument for the area of ​​Phyllon Chalkida. It is honored on the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and is located on the hill that covers the village, at the top of which dominates the "Kastelli".
