July 16, 2026 · 1 min read

Today, July 16, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Argyrokastro, Mr. Nathanael, performed the Mass of Thyranoixia at the Holy Church of Agia Marini, in the village of Lougari, Dropolis, marking the beginning of the liturgical life in this holy place. Then the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy were celebrated, with the participation of clergy and believers from the village, who gathered together with prayer and thanksgiving to God.

During the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Nathanael addressed a spiritual speech to the congregation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a living faith, constant participation in the liturgical life of the Church and daily Christian witness. Referring to the life and martyrdom of Saint Mary, he presented her as a shining example of faith, courage and devotion to Christ.

He emphasized that her unwavering attitude towards martyrdoms is a timeless source of inspiration for every Christian, calling everyone to be strengthened in faith and to remain firm in the confession of Christ, regardless of the difficulties and trials of life.
