With due solemnity, the Holy Feast of St. Daniel of Katunakiot was held in the Holy Metropolis of Derka on September 7, 2026, during which the Archdeacon of the Holy Metropolis of Derka, Father Daniel Zafeiris, led his nomenclature.

On the eve of the holiday, Vespers was celebrated and in the morning the Divine Liturgy, with a pastry, presided over by Rev. Metropolitan of Elder Derko Mr. Apostolos, in the Holy Church of Agios Georgios Makrohori.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy, a meal was offered to all the faithful and parishioners of the Community.

It was nice to see that Archdeacon Father Danilo also celebrated his name day. The service in the church of St. George in Makrochori certainly passed peacefully, and the common lunch after the Liturgy is what binds people the most. God grant that here in Podgorica we celebrate the holy elders from Sveta Gora as often as this.

I was glad to read that after the Liturgy everyone was given a common lunch. Here in Yekaterinburg, too, they always do this after the throne service, and then people stay longer and talk. I wonder how many people gathered in the Church of St. George?

In Yaroslavl, after the altar service, a common table is always set, and people are in no hurry to leave. It’s good that in Makrochori everyone was fed after the Liturgy. Approximately how many people were in the service of St. George?

Roman, it’s good that in Yekaterinburg you also have a communal table after the service - this really helps people not to run away immediately. There were about one hundred and fifty people at the Liturgy in Makrochori; the church was small, but everyone fit in. How many people usually gather for the throne ceremony?
