The feast of Saint Sophia and her daughters in the Parish of Melidonio Mylopotamostranslated

The memory of Saint Sophia and her daughters, Faith, Hope and Love, was solemnly celebrated in the celebratory Holy Church of the same name in the Parish of Melidonio Mylopotamos. On the morning of the main day, September 17, 2026, Rev. Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos officiated during Orthros and celebrated the High Priestly Divine Liturgy, supported by clergy of the Holy Metropolis and the Parish Priest, Reverend Aidesimol. Protopresbyter Stavros Gorgoraptis, to whom he wished many and blessed years and for his recent denominations.

Among others, the Holy Liturgy was attended by the Mayor of Mylopotamos, Mr. Georgios Klados, the Vice-Regional Governor, Mr. Michalis Sarris, representatives of the Local Community and village bodies, as well as a large number of believers.
