Deputy Foreign Minister Yannis Loverdos from Fanari: "The Greek State on the side of the Ecumenical Patriarchate"translated

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yannis Loverdos, visited Constantinople on the occasion of the start of the new Church Year. On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs attended the Divine Liturgy for the Beginning of the Indictment, at the Patriarchal Church of Agios Georgios. Afterwards, the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew, in which he reiterated the undivided appreciation and continuous support of the Greek state in the multifaceted work of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
"In Fanari, for the beginning of the new ecclesiastical year and the celebration of the beginning of Indictus, I participated in the Patriarchal Divine Liturgy at the Pansept Patriarchal Church. It is a special honor for me to be present next to the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew and my deep conviction that the Greek State must be firmly on the side of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and its historical mission.
