Primary School students are inspired by Saint Nikiforos, creating a book in Englishtranslated

In a special and creative way, the 4th grade students of Paleochora Primary School, Selinos District, decided to honor Saint Nikiforos the Leper, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Inauguration of his Holy Pilgrimage Church, in Sirikari Kissamos. At the initiative of the English teacher, Mrs. Athanasia Lampropoulos, the students created a book of knowledge, in English, entitled: "Saint Nikephorus the Leper - A Life of Kindness", presenting, in their own way, the life and work of Saint Nikephoros. According to the teacher Ms. Athanasia Lampropoulou, who also took this laudable initiative, "..A special element of the book is the connection of religious tradition with science.

The students, through the story of Saint Nikephoros, searched for information about Hansen's disease, explaining what leprosy is and how it is treated today by medical science.
