New Jersey: Honorary farewell dinner for Archbishop-elect Canada Apostolostranslated

A farewell dinner in honor of the Most Reverend Archbishop-elect of Canada Mr. Apostolos, former Metropolitan of New Jersey, was hosted last night by the Most Reverend Archbishop of America Mr. Elpidophoros and the Holy Diocese of New Jersey, honoring his ministry and contribution. The dinner was held at The Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey.

In his farewell speech, Archbishop-elect of Canada Mr. Apostolos expressed his gratitude to God, who gave him the strength and courage to serve the Holy Diocese of New Jersey. Concluding his speech, he addressed the faithful: "I will never forget my ministry in the Holy Diocese of New Jersey," he said characteristically. "You are wonderful people (…) Don't lose your faith. Keep it strong and continue the work of your offering in the Diocese. I love you and I'm praying for you all."

Archbishop Mr. Elpidophoros thanked Archbishop-elect Mr. Apostolos for his contribution to the Holy Archdiocese of America and wished him every success in his new ministry in the Holy Archdiocese of Canada.
