Visit of Metropolitan Ignatius to the camps of the Holy Metropolis of Dimitriastranslated

In the camping facilities of the Holy Metropolis, in Agios Lavrentios Pelion, on Sunday July 26, Rev. Metropolitan of Dimitrias Mr. Ignatios. During the current camp period, approximately 85 boys from the Middle School and High School classes are hosted, with the leader, Archdeacon Fr. Iakovos Proias, and the deputy leader, Deacon Fr. His Eminence had lunch with the children and then watched the presentation of their teams and the entertainment program they had prepared. In his short greeting, on the occasion of the gospel reading of the miracle of the multiplication of the five loaves and the two fishes, he referred to the value of thanksgiving to God for every good, the importance of common life and sharing, pointing out that the camp is a great gift of the Church for children.

As he characteristically pointed out: "In the camp, the most important thing is not what you eat; you might as well eat better at home."
