Program of Nomenclature of Metropolitan Efstathiou of Monemvasia and Spartatranslated

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, our Church celebrates the memory of the Holy Great Martyr Efstathios, the wife of Theopistos and their children, Agapios and Theopistos. This day is particularly joyous for the Holy Metropolis of Monemvasia and Sparta as the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Efstathios conducts his septa Nomastria.

In the Metropolitan Church of Evangelistria, on the eve of the feast, Saturday 19 September, at 6:30 p.m., the solemn Polyhieratic Vespers will be held with the pastoral service of the Pastor. On the main day of the feast, also in the Metropolitan Church of the Evangelistria, the solemn Orthros, the blessing of the breads and the Polyhierarchical Divine Liturgy of the preeminent of the Most Reverend Metropolitan will be held.

In the Holy Metropolis, a fragment of the Holy Relics of Saint Eustathius is kept, which will be placed in veneration on both days, for the blessing of the Holy clergy and our pious people.
