The former Archbishop of Canada Sotirios who served the local Church and by extension the Community of Canada for 52 consecutive years as a priest, Bishop, Metropolitan and in the last years as Archbishop, gave the last interview of his priesthood to the "National Herald" of which he has been a devoted daily reader for many decades. The interview "National Preacher": Your Honor, let's start by asking what feelings you have now that after more than half a century of high priesthood in Canada you are now former?
Archbishop Sotirios: I am possessed by feelings of peace, serenity and how I will spend the rest of my life in Christ.
"E.K.": Do you have an opinion or comment about your successor, Apostolos from New Jersey?
Archbishop Sotirios: Our acquaintance is short. I have learned a lot about his abilities and I am sure that everything will be fine. I will give him any help he asks of me.
