The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the village of Makongati, Tanzaniatranslated

In a poor and remote village in Tanzania, in Makongati, the small Orthodox community experienced with particular satisfaction and spiritual joy the great feast of the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-giving Cross, in the Holy Church of the Holy Cross. With the blessing of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Arousa, Mr. Agathonikos, the orthros, the sequence of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and then the Divine Liturgy were held.

The holy services were attended by priests of the Holy Metropolis of Arousa, led by Archimandrite Mr. Nikiforos, who performed the Ascension ceremony, the nuns of the Holy Monastery Taxiarchis Michael and volunteers of the parishioners of the Holy Metropolis of Arousa.

After the Divine Liturgy, there was a meal of love, offered by the Help and Solidarity Group "Saint John the Merciful" from Katerini.
