On St. Matthew's Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Most Reverend Bishop Amathoustos, Mr. Nikolaos officiated at the holy church of Agios Kosmas of Aitolos, where he also held the memorial service for those killed by the explosion in Mari, Archpriest Andreas Ioannidis and Assistant Chaplain Kleanthi Kleanthos. After the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness Theophilus performed a trisage at their grave, followed by the laying of wreaths.

Вічна пам'ять Андрію Іоанніді і Клеантісу Клеантусу. Бачила, що владика Николай служив саме в храмі святого Косми Етолійського, а потім ще й на могилі трисвяте правив. Нехай Господь упокоїть їхні душі.

Eternal memory to Captain Andreas Ioannidis and Warrant Officer Kleanthos Kleanthous. It's good they held the memorial right at St. Kosmas of Aitolia church in Limassol where the bishop served, then did the trisagion at the grave itself. May the Lord give them rest.
