Swearing-in of 3rd ESSO 2026 at Kalamata Camptranslated

In the presence of a large crowd, the swearing-in ceremony of the 1,065 newly recruited soldiers of the 3rd ESSO 2026 took place on the morning of Friday, September 25, 2026, at the "PAPAFLESSAS" Camp in Kalamata. The swearing-in ceremony was performed by the Archdeacon of the Holy Metropolis. Philippos Hamargias, representing Rev. Metropolitan of Messinia Mr. Chrysostomos, flanked by Deacon Theophilos Kyriakos. The Chief of the GES, conveying his message, was represented by the Commander of the 2nd Branch ASDYS Brigadier General Mr. Georgios Kakutis, while the agenda was read by the Commander of the 9th SP. Colonel (PZ) Mr. Georgios Charitos.

The Ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Citizen Protection, Mr. Io. Lambropoulos, the Regional Governor of Peloponnese, Mr. Dim. Ptochos, the Mayor of Kalamata, Mr. Ath. Vassilopoulos, the Commander of the 120 PEA, Commander (I) Michail Koukouvas and representatives of the Local Government, the Security Forces, the Associations of Veteran Officers and other bodies.
