Pre-holiday Theotokos in the Parish of Kalonyktis Rethymnontranslated

On Sunday morning, September 6, 2026, Rev. Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos officiated during Orthros and celebrated the Pre-Orthodox High Priestly Divine Liturgy at the celebratory Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Kalonyktis Parish. Before the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the Vicar of the Parish, Rev. Protopresbyter Georgios Manousakis, addressed His Eminence with warm words and thanked everyone for their respectful and loving participation in this Pre-Holiday Celebration of the Parish.

Objecting, His Eminence expressed his thanks to the Vicar, congratulating him for the beautification of the Holy Church, but also for the love and activation of all the people of the place, thanks to which this Pre-Eurthous Feast of the Most Holy Theotokos was established in recent years.

His Eminence particularly thanked the local lords and the Deputy Mayors, the Philharmonic of the Municipality of Rethymno, the Commander of the 547th A/M Infantry Battalion, Lt. Col.
