Agony from Ieronymos of Kalavryton for the lack of clergy and the future of the villagestranslated

His concern for the future of the small and remote villages of the District of Kalavryta, as well as the consequences created - especially during the period of the fifteenth of August - by the lack of clergy, was emphasized by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kalavryta and Aegialia Mr. Ieronymos from the Holy Church of Agios Athanasios Kamenia, Kalavryta, where he officiated yesterday, Sunday, August 9 2026.  At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Pastor addressed a paternal and topical speech to the congregation, first of all expressing his joy for his presence in the Kamenians during the blessed period of the fifteenth of August, when the entire Church turns its prayers with special reverence to the Pansept Face of the Most Holy Theotokos.

Then, the Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Ieronymos specifically referred to the great effort made by the Holy Metropolis, so that during these days and especially during the great feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, as many villages and Holy Churches of the province of Kalavryta can be liturgically served. He pointed out that the lack of Clergy makes this work extremely difficult and requires a spirit of cooperation and understanding from everyone.
