Ο άγιος Ειρηναίος μαρτύρησε τόσο νωρίς, γύρω στο 203, και όμως η μνήμη του έφτασε μέχρι σήμερα. Εδώ στη Θεσσαλονίκη έχουμε και εμείς έναν ναΐσκο αφιερωμένο σ’ αυτόν, περνάω από εκεί συχνά στον περίπατο. Καλή συνέχεια στην εορτή της Παναγίας μας.
