The Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew who on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, will officiate at the Cathedral of God Sophia on the occasion of the memory of the Holy Great Martyr Nikitas of Goth. On this day Rev. Archbishop of Thyatira and Great Britain Mr. Nikitas.

His Holiness had visited the Archdiocese of Thyateira in October 2022 as part of the celebration of 100 years since its foundation, while in June 2025 he attended and prayed at the consecration of the new Holy Church of Agios Sophronios of Athonite in the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of the Holy Forerunner in Essex.

Dobro je što će Patrijarh ponovo doći u London, baš na sv. Nikitu. Sećam se kako je 2022. bio tamo za stogodišnjicu, baš lepo što nastavlja da posećuje našu braću u Britaniji. Nadam se da će i ovaj put biti lepo služenje u Svetoj Sofiji.

Dobro si rekla, Jelena, baš na sv. Nikitu će biti lepo videti Patrijarha opet u Londonu. Sećam se da je 2022. posle liturgije ostao duže da razgovara sa ljudima ispred Svete Sofije. Nadam se da će i ovaj put stići neki naš parohijanin iz Podgorice da prisustvuje.

It's good the Patriarch is heading back to London for St. Nikita's feast and the Archbishop's name day. I remember reading about his 2022 visit for the centennial; sounds like he always makes time to talk with the folks outside St. Sophia afterward. Hope some of our people from the parish make the trip too.
