At the synodical level, the matter of Archim. Nicanora Miskov, who has been on holiday since July 29, which comes just one day after the declaration of support for Patriarch Daniel, which was signed yesterday by the clergy of the Sofia Metropolis. As stated in the announcement: "The Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church in Bulgaria - Patriarchate of Bulgaria unequivocally distances itself and condemns the publicly formulated slanderous statements of Archimandrite Nikanoros Miskov, a cleric of the Province of Sofia, who is under the penalty of "holiday", and which are directed against the BOE - PB and against the institution and the personality of the Bulgarian Patriarch. We declare that the systematic insulting and defamatory statements of the above-mentioned cleric, who appears as the judge of everything and everyone, are unacceptable and cause general seduction among the faithful.

It is also emphasized that the Holy Synod does not accept "the exploitation of the Holy Church for political purposes, nor the fact that the cleric in question presents himself as a political victim".
