The Inauguration of the Holy Church of Archangel Michael in Pale was performed by the Patriarch of Serbiatranslated

The Patriarch of Serbia, Mr. Porphyrios in order to celebrate the Consecration of the newly built Church of the Archangel Gabriel. The visit of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Serbia to Pale was a special historical event, as, as the local Pastor, Metropolitan of Dambrobosnia Mr. Chrysostomos pointed out, for the first time, a Patriarch of Serbia inaugurated a church in this historic city.

During the reception of the Patriarch on the evening of Friday, September 25, 2026, Metropolitan Mr. Chrysostomos expressed his gratitude, underlining that the new church is an expression of thanksgiving of the Serbian people to God, but also of memory to all those who contributed to shaping the history of the place.

In his speech, the Patriarch Mr. Porphyrios referred with particular emotion to his ties with the region and to his long-standing spiritual relationship with Metropolitan Mr. Chrysostomos, noting that their first meeting took place more than three decades ago at the Hilandariou Monastery.
