The celebration of Saint Panteleimon in Kalymnos and Lerostranslated

The Grand Solemn High Priestly Vespers was celebrated with all splendor and pomp in the celebrating Holy Monastery of Agios Panteleimonos Kalymnos, on the evening of Sunday, July 26, 2026. The Vespers was celebrated by the Reverend Metropolitan of Sardis, Mr. Evangelos, who hails from Kalymnos, with the co-prayer of the Reverend Metropolitan of Leros, Kalymnos and Astipalaia, Mr. Paisios. The holy High Priests were flanked by the High Priestly Commissioner in Kalymnos, Protopriest of the Ecumenical Throne Fr. Amfilochios Sakalleros, as well as a multitude of priests from the local Church and beyond.

The "present" at the celebration of Agios Panteleimonos was given by representatives of the local authorities and organizations, including the Dodecanese Member of Parliament Mika Iatridis, the Coordinator P.E. Kalymnos Manolis Mousellis, the Mayor of Kalymnia Ioannis Mastrokoukos, the former Mayor Ioannis Galouzis, the former Mayor Dimitris Diakomichalis, the President of the Municipal Council Dimitrios Maragos, the Deputy Mayor Ioannis Theofilidis, the Commander of 5/42 SE Konstantinos Dimopoulos, the politician of the Greek Lysis Ioannis Gavalas, as well as a multitude of believers.
