The Progress of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross and the Ordination of a Priest in Komotinitranslated

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the Feast of the Progress of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross, His Most Reverend Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini, Bishop Panteleimon, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Parish Church of the Wisdom of God, where he ordained Deacon Domethios Arambatzis to the priesthood. According to the Church’s canonical order, during the hymn of the Doxology, the procession of the Holy Cross took place, followed by the Panegyric Divine Liturgy and the ordination.

In his homily, His Most Reverend Metropolitan spoke of the feast of the Progress of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross, exhorting the newly ordained to serve the Mysteries of the Church with the fear of God, faith, and love, leading the faithful people of God along the paths of salvation.
