Warsaw: The "heart" of the Polish Orthodox Church was celebratedtranslated

As a day of joy and blessing for the entire Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Poland, the Metropolitan of Warsaw and all Poland, Mr. Saturday. In a festive atmosphere on the morning of Tuesday, August 4 – a day on which, according to the old calendar, the memory of Saint Mary Magdalene was commemorated – a multi-priestly mass was held by the preeminent of His Beatitude Mr. Saturday, with the participation of Hierarchs and clergy from the Church of Poland. The religious events began the evening of the previous day with a holy vigil.
During his speech, the Metropolitan of Warsaw referred to the life of Saint Mary Magdalene as well as the spiritual connection of the Church of Poland with one of the first women to see the Risen Lord. "She dedicated her entire life to Christ. She learned from Him, remained faithful to Him and transmitted the Gospel to the next generations. For this reason, the Orthodox Church calls her Equal to the Apostles for persistently proclaiming the glad tidings of the Lord's Resurrection to the world," he said.
