American Senator Joni Ernst at Gratsanitsa Monastery – Metropolitan Raska's concern about the situation in Kosovotranslated

His Eminence the Metropolitan of Raska and Prizren, Mr. Theodosios, expressed his concern about the situation in Kosovo to the American Senator Ms. Joni Ernst, who with the Chargé d'Affaires of the United States Embassy in Pristina, Ms. Anu Pratapati and their colleagues, visited the Holy Monastery of Gratsanitsa on Monday, August 10, 2026. After being guided around the Monastery and informed about its spiritual, historical and cultural significance, they discussed with His Holiness issues regarding the current position of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the challenges facing the Church and the faithful in their daily lives.

Metropolitan Mr. Theodosios pointed out the serious concern of the Diocese due to the visible deterioration of security and the increasingly intense feeling of insecurity among the Serbian population, which is perceived as persecution and open discrimination by the Kosovo authorities.
