General Assembly of the Clergy in Ghanatranslated

With the blessing of His Beatitude the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa Mr. Theodore II, on Sunday August 15, 2026, immediately after the High Priestly Solemnity, which was held on the great Theotokos feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, prior of the Venerable Metropolitan of Accra, Mr. Daniel, the General Assembly of the Clergy of the Orthodox Church in Ghana took place.
Priests from all the Regions of Ghana participated in the Synaxis, in a climate of spiritual unity, brotherhood and mutual cooperation.
During the Synagogue, important issues concerning the pastoral, spiritual, missionary, administrative and charitable course of the local Church were discussed. After a thorough discussion, unanimous decisions were taken and the main directions were outlined for the further development and strengthening of the missionary work, with a special emphasis on the spiritual cultivation of the faithful, the support of the parishes, the youth, catechesis, as well as the strengthening of the Church's social and charitable offering.
