Florinis Irenaeus: Our Lady remained completely surrendered to His willtranslated

The spiritual meanings that the Fifteenth of August brings through the feast of the Assumption of the Theotokos are mentioned by the Metropolitan of Floris, Prespa and Eordaia Mr. Irenaios in his Encyclical.  As it characteristically states: "The Graceful Virgin has been throughout her entire earthly course a silent, but uninterrupted presence of love and giving. She never sought her prominence as the Mother of God. She remained humble and completely surrendered to His will."

The great feast of Our Lady has dawned. In front of us is the Dormition icon, adorned with summer flowers. Around the bed of the Virgin are standing the Apostles and in the center Christ holds in His hands the soul of His Mother. An image that does not speak of death, but mainly of life. The fifteenth of August always brings with it this hope. And our Mother never stops being close to her children. In the joys and trials of life we ​​always resort to her maternal protection.
