On Tuesday (28/7), the seven-member nursing team of the Hellenic Red Cross (E.E.S.) in earthquake-stricken Venezuela, in a special ceremony at the facilities of the Red Cross of Venezuela in Caracas, received honors from the Vice President and Secretary General of the Red Cross of Venezuela, as a small token of recognition and of gratitude for their enormous and multifaceted contribution to the affected areas of Venezuela. Also, the nurses of the E.E.S. received medals of honor for the emotional mobilization of the E.E.S. in this extremely difficult moment for the country.
It is noted that the second echelon of solidarity of the Hellenic Red Cross to the victims of Venezuela has been in the affected areas for about a month, offering basic health services and pre-hospital care to the thousands of injured and displaced citizens, staffing the Mobile Hospital that operates at the Jose Garcia Carneiro baseball field in La Guaira and the San Jose outdoor hospital.
