Patron Chrysostom to students: "Continue to struggle for knowledge and virtue"translated

In a climate of enthusiasm and joy, the students returned to the school halls after a brief break at the start of the new academic year. The Venerable Metropolitan of Patrons, Archbishop Chrysostom, celebrated the Divine Liturgy, marking the beginning of the new academic year, at the Experimental High School and Experimental Lyceum of Patrons University, at the Ecclesiastical Lyceum of Patrons, and in the Triantos Vocational College. At the Experimental Schools of the University, Archbishop spoke about the value of knowledge and wisdom according to the world, but primarily about the value of divine wisdom and the struggle so that the new man may acquire virtue. Addressing his students with paternal love, he encouraged the children saying that our children are the golden hope of our society and our Homeland. They are the purse of their parents, the Church, and all of society. Alongside paternal advice, he also offered heartfelt prayers for health, progress, joy, making use of time, sharing through love, mutual support, and respect for others. The foundation of our life is God. "Place this foundation in your lives and everything else will follow," said the Hierarch to the students and female students of the Schools.
